What happens next
We check every report against the primary source — the USDA memo, the state manual or notice — before changing anything. Confirmed fixes are published with a new verified date. We store your message, the page and the issue type; we do not store your IP address or browser details. See the privacy policy.
What makes a report easy to check
- The exact figure and where you saw it. “My October 2026 notice from the county says the heating allowance is $X” lets us look for the same document.
- The state and household size. Many SNAP numbers change with both, so a figure that is right for three people can look wrong for four.
- A link to the official source if you have one: a state manual page, a policy memo, an agency press release or a USDA table.
- For calculator problems, what you typed in each step and what you expected to see. The Share button copies a link with your inputs; pasting it into your message is the quickest way to show us. That link contains only the numbers you entered.
Utility allowances are the figures most likely to be out of date, because each state sets its own each October and many publish them late. If your notice shows an allowance different from the one on your state’s page, that is exactly the report we want.
Questions about your own case
We can’t see or change anyone’s SNAP case. For your benefits, contact your state agency — every state page lists its SNAP information line and application site — or ask about a fair hearing if you disagree with a decision.
