Estimates, not decisions

The calculator applies published federal and state SNAP rules to the answers you give. It is not an application, does not determine eligibility and does not create any right to benefits. Your state SNAP agency makes the decision using verified documents and rules we do not model, such as who must be counted in the household, citizenship and immigration status, student status, work requirements, and first-month proration. Your official notice controls.

Not a government site

Food Stamp Calc is published independently. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture or any state agency. Agency names and links are provided so you can reach the official source.

Accuracy

We take figures from primary sources and show the date we last verified them, but rules change and agencies publish on their own schedules. Some states’ figures are marked as last year’s because no current figure was published when we checked. We make no warranty that any figure is complete, current or suited to your situation. If you find an error, please tell us.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. If your benefits were denied, reduced or stopped, you have the right to ask your state for a fair hearing, usually within 90 days of the notice; legal aid organizations can help for free.

Acceptable use

You may use the calculator and share links to your results freely. Please do not use automated tools to send large volumes of requests, submit false correction reports, or try to interfere with the site.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for decisions made in reliance on an estimate from this site, including decisions about applying for, reporting to, or appealing a SNAP determination.
