Arkansas Food Stamp Calculator
Arkansas has two income lines, a savings cap and, since July 1, 2026, a list of things SNAP can no longer buy. The Department of Human Services gives households with someone 60+ or disabled a 165% gross limit and everyone else 130% ($2,960 for three), under a $5,500 asset limit. A family of three can get up to $808.

The $5,500 limit has a clock
USDA’s broad-based eligibility chart notes that Arkansas allows the $5,500 resource limit for twelve consecutive months, and only once every five years. After that the limit drops to $4,500 for elderly or disabled households and $3,000 for others. Enter your cash and bank balances in the calculator to see which side of the line you are on.
Soda and candy are out
Arkansas was approved to restrict SNAP purchases of soda, fruit and vegetable drinks with less than 50% natural juice, energy drinks and candy, with a target date of July 1, 2026. Your benefit amount is unchanged; only what the card will pay for at the register.
Arkansas certifies cases for four or six months, shorter than most states, and uses change reporting alongside simplified reporting, so expect more paperwork. A person with a past drug felony is not disqualified here. Deposits run from the 4th to the 13th, set by the last digit of your Social Security number. The utility allowances shown are last year’s; DHS had not published October 2026 amounts we could verify.
