Michigan itemizes utilities
Reference table RFT 255, effective October 1, 2026, sets a $706 heat-and-utility standard. Without heat, there is no single “limited” amount; instead you add the standards for what you pay: non-heat electric $187, water and/or sewer $123, cooking fuel $34, trash $31, and $32 for a telephone. In step 3, choose “two or more other utilities” and tick each one.
A Grand Rapids family of three earning $2,000 with $850 rent, paying electricity and water but not heat, would get about $533.
Other Michigan specifics
Michigan has a Restaurant Meals Program, a partial time-limit waiver for adults 18–64 as of October 1, 2026, telephone signatures, and a waiver that can skip the recertification interview for elderly and disabled households. Deposits run from the 3rd to the 21st by the last digit of your recipient ID. Its FY2025 payment error rate was 9.89%, the 10% cost-share tier.
