Wyoming Food Stamp Calculator

Wyoming’s Department of Family Services runs SNAP on the Wyoming Card. Wyoming has no broad-based eligibility, so households must pass the federal gross test ($2,960 for three), the net test ($2,277) and an asset limit of $3,000, or $4,750 with someone 60+ or disabled. Three people can get up to $808.

What estimates leave out

Paid in four days

Wyoming loads every case between the 1st and the 4th, by the first letter of your last name — one of the shortest schedules anywhere. Certifications run four, six or twelve months.

Accuracy, medical costs and a 2027 change

Wyoming’s FY2025 payment error rate was 3.96%, among the three lowest in the country, so the 2025 law would require no state share of benefit costs. USDA approved a restriction on sweetened, carbonated beverages with a target date of February 1, 2027. The state uses a standard medical deduction for older and disabled members, and past drug felonies do not disqualify. Its heating and cooling allowance in USDA’s October 2025 table was $510.

Savings and vehicles in Wyoming

Because the federal asset test applies, Wyoming counts cash, bank accounts and some other resources toward the $3,000 limit. Retirement accounts and your home are excluded under federal rules. Utah and South Dakota, Wyoming’s neighbors to the southwest and east, also skip broad-based eligibility; Colorado and Montana, by contrast, allow up to $4,554 for three with no asset limit.
